Orientation to the HIV Center for new Center members is organized by Dr. Warne on an individual or small group basis. Participants receive a package of overview and policy-related materials pertaining to the HIV Center infrastructure and research programs. Overview of the administrative resources at the HIV Center includes support for grant application preparation; the Pilot Studies Program; access to Center-wide resources such as Grand Rounds; and access to campus-wide resources. Dr. Warne reviews the focus, functioning, and interrelationship of HIV Center Cores including mechanisms by which investigators and fellows can access their services. Ample opportunity is afforded for questions and clarification. By the end of this orientation, participants will have a fundamental knowledge of the resources available through the HIV Center.
