The HIV Center has established a yearly publication award for the Center's Junior Investigators and Fellows. The recipient of the award is selected based on the quality of one of his or her first-authored and peer-reviewed papers published in calendar year before the award. An independent committee selects the awardee based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation of the topic/approach
  • Significance of the study to HIV/AIDS
  • Clarity, consistency, and eloquence of the paper
  • Caliber of journal in which the paper is published
