The HIV Center has begun as series of new activities in
Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and beyond to partner with HIV
behavioral scientists from throughout the Middle East
and North Africa to intervene in a region that, for
now, has a comparatively low HIV prevalence rate.
The Healthy Living
Project, a program designed and evaluated by the HIV
Center, has been chosen by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC), for inclusion in The 2008
Compendium of Evidence-based HIV Prevention
Interventions.
From perinatally infected youths moving towards adulthood, to
HIV prevention and treatment in South Africa, to
HIV-based home testing: newly funded research projects
at the HIV Center are extending existing existing lines
of investigation while also launching new avenues of
inquiry.
