Jessica Adams-Skinner, Ed.D., M.P.H., is a Co-Investigator at the HIV Center who researches HIV prevention and promotion efforts for heterosexual women and men. She is interested in provider-client interactions in family planning and other healthcare settings, and how provider behaviors influence client sexual risk reduction and method(s) adoption. Dr. Adams-Skinner is involved in research investigating the uptake of female condoms among women in settings in the United States and abroad. She is also interested in how counselors and providers approach dual protection counseling and incorporate hormonal contraceptive and barrier methods into their client consultations.

Trained in HIV prevention and promotion efforts with women, adolescents, and men, Dr. Adams-Skinner has worked with these populations in HIV prevention programs in community-based organizations, hospitals, clinics, and correctional facilities.
