Susan Tross, Ph.D., is an Assistant
Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Departments of Psychiatry and
Pediatrics at Columbia University. She is currently the Co-Director of the
Interdisciplinary Research Methods Core of the HIV Center for Clinical and
Behavioral Studies at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. In addition,
she is the Principal Investigator of the National Institute on Drug Abuse
(NIDA)-funded research project "Imipramine and Relapse Prevention in
Depressed Methadone Patients." Since 1986, Dr. Tross has conducted several HIV
intervention or substance abuse intervention research programs. She has
particularly worked on peer-based and street-outreach programs programs among
injecting drug users and their partners on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
