Zoe Edelstein, Ph.D.

Zoe Edelstein is a postdoctoral research fellow at the HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University. She received herM.S. and Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Washington School of Public Health.

 

Dr. Edelstein research interests are in the epidemiology of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, particularly in adolescents and young adults.Prior to her appointment at the HIV Center, her research focused on human papillomavirus (HPV), with recent projects addressing infection in young men and incidence of cervical dysplasia in women. Her current projects at the HIV Center include examining risk factors for HIV acquisition in Ugandan youth and the use of national datasets to describe sexual behaviors and outcomes in US teens.
