Project Overview
(from abstract)
With rising HIV seroprevalence, and increasingly available HIV testing and ART, understanding associations between Quality of Life (QoL), stigma, and participation in HIV Care is imperative to craft programs that protect the human rights, HIV care, and daily function of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This is a qualitative/quantitative, development project, rooted in community-based participatory research, in anticipation of a future larger study. The investigators seek to eventually develop a QoL/stigma instrument that could be used: 1) to conduct comparative analyses across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region; and 2) to inform the development of programs to improve QoL and reduce stigma in Moroccan PLWHA.
